Bearded Dalea is a low growing forb with odd-pinnately compound leaves.  Bearded Dalea occurs frequent on sandy loam and caliche soils in the Rio Grande Plains.  The leaves and flowers on Bearded Dalea provide good browse for white-tailed deer.
