Silver, Roughpod, Lindheimer Bladderpods


(Lesquerella argyraea, Lesquerella lasiocarpa, Lesquerella lindheimeri)

Bladderpods are low-growing, silvery-gray with stellate hairs.  Bladderpods are commonly found on sandy, calcareous, clay, loamy, gravelly and/or disturbed soils in the Rio Grande Plains and Coastal Prairies.  White-tailed deer will browse the leaves, flowers, and fruit.  Scaled and Bobwhite quail will consume the seeds.
