Hooker's Plantain is an annual forb found frequent on sandy soils in prairies, openings, and waste sites in the Rio Grande Plains and Coastal Prairies.  The leaves provide forage for white-tailed deer, Rio Grande turkey, and cattle.  The seeds are consumed by bobwhite quail and mourning doves.  STN is currently in production of a release containing hooker's and redseed plantains.
