Mexican Hat

Mexican Hat is a mid-size, erect, perennial forb found frequent on clay, heavier loams, or caliche soils in the Rio Grande Plains and Coastal Prairies. The leaves are good forage for white-tailed deer and cattle. The seeds are consumed by Rio Grande turkeys.
