Pink Pappusgrass

Pink pappusgrass is a warm season perennial bunchgrass found in a variety of South Texas habitats. It is fair forage for livestock. Pink pappusgrass produces a large seedhead that is pinkish-purplish when immature and turns straw colored when mature. Mature seed heads remain upright, hold seed well, and are not restricted by foliage. It can be harvested mechanically or by hand.
