Mark Madrazo
Master Gardener
2005 to Present
Mark has worked for the Tio and Janell Kleberg Wildlife Park since 2005. Mark was hired as a groundskeeper for the Texas A&M University physical plant, and was later promoted to Master Gardener. He is a state licensed ornamental lawn, weed and pest control technician. His expertise in gardening comes from many years of being self taught and on the job training under landscape professional David Mahler. He enjoys talking with people about the diverse selection of South Texas native plants and how important it is to the eco-system of insects, birds and wildlife. Mark's wife, Yvonne, has been a member of the TAMUK Jernigan Library staff since 1992. Mark also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. In his spare time, Mark loves to create handmade ceramic tile, sculptures and pottery. He enjoys spending time with his wife and playing with their five Boston Terriers.
