Georgina is from the town of Accrington, Lancashire, United Kingdom. She earned her BSc Animal Behavior in 2016 and her Master’s in 2018 at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Her Master’s research investigated neophobia (fear of novelty) in an ecological specialist, the Gouldian finch. Currently, Georgina is working towards her Ph.D in Wildlife Science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Her research focusses on comparing spring migration strategies in northern pintails that originate from different wintering regions across north America to identify key stop over sites on migration and link decision making to reproductive success.
