Transmission dynamics and diagnostics of Chronic Wasting Disease in a multi-host system

Ashlyn graduated with a B.S.F.R. in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from the University of Georgia in 2020. Before starting graduate school, she researched vector-borne pathogens in various mammal species, in addition to developing outreach materials with the non-profit organization, Georgia Wildlife Federation. Ashlyn got her Master’s degree from Ohio State University focusing on the long-term surveillance of sarcoptic mange within the Chicago coyote population. In pursuit of her Ph.D., Ashlyn joined the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute in 2024 to help advance the knowledge of Chronic Wasting Disease dynamics across a multitude of host species.
