Harry Rakosky is a Texas Game Warden assigned to Hidalgo County. After graduating from high school, Harry served aboard a nuclear fast-attack submarine home-ported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After completing his military service, Harry pursued a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He also spent time studying abroad, having been awarded an academic scholarship to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Upon graduation from UTSA, Harry traveled overseas, working as a security specialist in Nicosia, Cyprus and in Amman, Jordan, where he provided physical protection for U.S. embassies under construction. Upon completion of his employment contract, Rakosky returned to San Antonio and was hired by a multi-state security company, working initially as Chief of Security at The Dominion, a 1,265-acre gated community, and then as the organization's Human Resources Director. Today, Harry enjoys his career as a "blue badge," doing his part toward protecting the natural resources and environment of Texas.
