Micayla Pearson grew up in La Vernia, TX surrounded by the outdoors. She attended Texas A&M University - Kingsville where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Range and Wildlife Management in 2021. During her undergraduate career, she was able to work for the East Foundation as a Range Ecology Technician - Crew Lead (summer 2018, 2019, 2020), as well as a Quail Ecology Technician (Fall and Winter 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021). After a short break, she decided to come back and pursue her Masters of Science degree studying "Grassland Restoration on New Solar Developments in South Texas". Micayla is also an instructor at the South Texas Bobwhite Brigade where she teaches high school students about habitat, plants, and pollinators. In her spare time, Micayla likes to spend time outdoors with her family taking photos.
