A native of Freer, Texas, Yolanda graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville with a B.A. in Business Administration. Over thirty years ago, as a student, “Yoli” began her career as a member of the Institute’s operations staff, making her the longest serving operations staff member. Yoli is presently the Institute’s Assistant Director of Administration. Her primary duties include human resource matters, supervision of CKWRI support staff, assisting graduate students in navigating "the system", budget planning and reporting and special projects for the Executive Director and Director of Operations. She has earned the title as the official “go to” person. Yoli and Bart have one son, Derek, who is currently pursuing a Master's degree at Iowa State University.
