Tom is founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jonah Energy, a major producer of natural gas in the Western US.
Tom was previously a senior executive with El Paso Corporation prior to its merger with Kinder Morgan Inc. He began his career as a corporate and securities attorney at Andrews Kurth, LLP. Tom holds a BA degree from Trinity University and MBA and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
Tom currently serves on Jonah’s Board of Directors, as well as the Board of the American Exploration and Production Council. Tom’s previous industry and non-profit board memberships include Oil Tanking Partners, L.P.; Four Star Oil & Gas Co.; the US Oil & Gas Association; the Houston Museum of Natural Science; Keystone School; the Texas Wildlife Association; and the Trinity University Business School.
Tom and his wife Elizabeth own and manage the Corazon Ranch in Medina County, where they have recently implemented a native grass restoration project with the help of TNS. Tom and Elizabeth live in San Antonio and have two children, Ceci and Thomas.
