Elizabeth grew up in Los Angeles County and became fascinated with wildlife by exploring the local Santa Monica Mountains. She pursued this interest at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, graduating in 2015 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences concentrated on wildlife. An internship monitoring the ocelot population at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge led to a variety of positions frequently focused on carnivores, including mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, and black-footed ferrets. She graduated with her M.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from Clemson University in 2022 and has since worked as an academic research associate. In her current role with the Feline Research Program Elizabeth is assisting with ocelot and bobcat research on public and private lands in South Texas.
