Liza Soliz is a Kingsville native and grew up in the ranching and hunting communities of south Texas.  Here she grew to love wildlife and the outdoors and developed an insatiable curiosity for all things science.  Liza enrolled at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and earned a bachelor of science in Biology and a master of science in Animal Science.  To pursue a Ph.D., Liza joined the Cesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute in January 2024 to work on a project researching the spatial impacts of parasites on quail.
