Hannah Shapiro grew up in San Jose, CA where she gained a passion for nature hiking through the redwoods and exploring the tidepools. She attended Washington State University where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Sciences. After graduating, she spent a few years conducting wildlife surveys and working with mammals, herptiles, fish and pollinators. She joined the CKWRI team to pursue her Masters studying Davis Mountain Cottontails and the impact RHDV2 has on the vulnerable population.
